The Leverage June 20: You are a Minister of Reconciliation

 

2 corinthian 5:18 “And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given us the ministry of reconciliation.”

1 peter 4:10 “As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.”

 

God saved you for a purpose. God released the Israelites from the bondage of Egypt for a purpose. He told Moses to tell Pharaoh to let His people go that they may serve Him. We are saved to serve the will of the Lord who saved us. To be saved, you do not only take Jesus as Saviour, but also receive Him as Lord. Romans 10:9 tells us “that if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved.” Our salvation happened by confessing Jesus as Lord and believing that God has raised Him from the dead.

The Lordship of Jesus Christ is the vital pillar of Christianity that brings the child of God under a perpetual influence and authority of Jesus Christ to serve the will of God. God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing upon them their trespasses; and He has given unto us the ministry of reconciliation. The ministry of reconciliation is serving the Lord Christ in giving out the Word of reconciliation to the world, which is the Gospel of Christ. God has given you the ministry of reconciliation. Everyone in Christ has received this noble ministry of reaching the world with the Word of God’s love and provision for them. That Christ took their place and bore their sins at Calvary, and that justification of sin is by faith in Him, who died for our sins and rose again. Hallelujah! The Lord Jesus Christ died for this purpose. He was raised from death for our justification
As Christians, we are to live our lives in absolute service unto the will of God. What is the Father’s will? To see all men saved, and come to the knowledge of the truth. What is the truth? Jesus is the truth, and faith in Him is life. We have been saddled with this responsibility of telling the untold about the love of God and the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord. We must preach this Gospel from coast to coast. We must tell it to the world. We must go all out with passion and enthusiasm, fulfilling the Great Commission which says “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” (Matthew 28:19-20).

My Solid Front (Confession): In the Name of Jesus Christ, I declare that I serve the Lord Christ in fulfilling His will on the earth. I am a minister of reconciliation, and I win souls for the Lord daily in Jesus’ Name! Amen.
