Today's lesson from The book of Esther

As humans, we need to understand that pride is very bad, so bad that you dont see when a dangerious end is coming and even if God comes to tell you to take another route some individuals are just too blind to see.

In the case of Vashti, she forgot that she was queen because Ahasuerus was King. She placed herself above the king and as a result fell below the level of concubines.

Also understanding the mood of a person helps you to better interact with them and to get whatsoever you desire from them. For instance, you don't beg someone who just lost a contract for fianacial assistance, no matter how rich the person is, he just simply doesn't want to hear the word "MONEY". He is not in the mood for money matters.

Esther 1:10-12  "On the seventh day, when the heart of the king was merry with wine, he commanded Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, and Abagtha, Zethar, and Carcas, the seven chamberlains that served in the presence of Ahasuerus the king,

To bring Vashti the queen before the king with the crown royal, to shew the people and the princes her beauty: for she was fair to look on.

But the queen Vashti refused to come at the king's commandment by his chamberlains: therefore was the king very wroth, and his anger burned in him."

The above scriptures show that the king was happy, wants to show off that he is rich, blessed, very happy. He is not mourning ooo. Then he is asking the queen 'Dear can you join in my happiness? Come and show this princes that I married the most beautiful lady.' Vashti decided to wash down the king, not in private but in public in the presence of his subjects that have been feasting for days!

If she had done it in private, there may not have been consequences, but she openly disgraced him, which show us that we should never publicy embarrass our significant other it may bring out the worst in them just like in the case of King Ahasuerus. He begame very wroth, and anger BOILED in him. The anger in him had been boiled, fried, cooked, and served.

My word out today is to live a life of humility and respect to autorities no matter how close you are to them. Thank you for reading and don't forget to subscribe.
